This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Pharmacy Technician ready to take on a dynamic travel role within Southern Illinois. Serving as a vital link between multiple healthcare facilities and the pharmacy, you will foster strong partnerships and ensure the delivery of exceptional medication management services across your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with facility leaders and staff, acting as the primary liaison between assigned accounts and the pharmacy team
  • Understand client needs thoroughly to support quality medication therapy and compliance measures
  • Collaborate with clinical services and pharmacy operations directors to provide guidance and resolve inquiries efficiently
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and introduce innovative pharmacy solutions tailored to facility requirements
  • Lead training sessions covering facility and pharmacy systems, supporting both new startups and ongoing education
  • Conduct monthly onsite visits with detailed reporting to monitor service success and recommend improvements
  • Ensure strict adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Prepare facilities for surveys and conduct medication room inspections and pass observations as requested
  • Coordinate closely with internal pharmacy teams to maintain seamless service delivery
  • Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Illinois Pharmacy Technician license is required; PTCB certification highly preferred
  • Prior experience in long-term care settings strongly favored
  • Proficiency with pharmacy and medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks
  • Reliable transportation for travel within the assigned territory; occasional overnight stays may be necessary
  • Location and Schedule:

  • Based near Springfield, IL, with up to one hour travel radius to various facilities across Southern Illinois
  • Monday through Friday, primarily 8:00 am to 4:00 pm with some flexibility needed for later audits
  • Rare weekend work required
  • Additional Information:

  • Mileage reimbursement and hotel accommodations for overnight stays are provided by the client
  • This is a direct hire position requiring local candidates
