Georgia Area Information

In Georgia you will find a high quality of living, a growing economy, comfortable climate, Southern hospitality and let’s not forget the peaches!  Georgia offers lower cost of living with low property tax and low real estate costs.  As for recreation Georgia has it all from symphonies to canoeing.  If you’re an enthusiast of boating, hiking, fishing, golfing, and tennis then Georgia is the right fit for your next travel pharmacist job.   Atlanta offers world class museums like the High Museum of Art and Fernbank Museum of Natural History.  Georgia experiences all four seasons so come any time of the year to witness its natural splendor.

The Summer Redneck Games located in East Dublin started as a spoof of Redneck culture and has grown to a true phenomenon.  The games are in July and showcase such events as toilet seat horseshoes and a pit belly flop, a sight to behold.  On a competitive note, Georgia hosts the famed Tour De Georgia.  For seven days 120 athletes cycle more than 650 miles from flat road to mountainous elevations of over 4700 feet.  Not up for participating in the Tour? Relax you can train for Georgia’s annual Antique Festivals.  The Thomasville’s Antique Show and Sale is one of Georgia’s premier antique destinations.  The second week of March ushers in an exciting 212 mile antique sale. Now that takes training.

As for the food, I’m sure we have all seen the Paula Deen show and if you haven’t you are missing out on some true Southern comfort food.  As opposed to some of the meatier states in the union the Southern dinner table is filled with several vegetables fresh from the prolonged growing season.  If invited to a true Georgian table you may be treated to the golden-brown khachapuri which is a thin pie filled with salty cheeses; then if you’re lucky you will be offered lobio.  This recipe varies from family to family,  start with kidney beans, fresh green beans, stewed chicken inn garlic sauce, a small river fish cooked while it’s still alive; sheat fish in vinegar with finely chopped fennel and enjoy.  Believe me it’s delicious.  So come on down and open your arms.  Welcome to Georgia where strangers feel like family.  Does this sound like where you’d like to take your next pharmacy job?
