A leadership opportunity is available for a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee pharmacy operations in Kennett Square, PA. This contract-to-hire position spans approximately 13 weeks and requires a dedicated professional committed to managing regulatory compliance and operational excellence within a pharmacy setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the legally designated PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses unless otherwise assigned.
  • Act as the primary liaison for Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of operational changes, ownership transitions, facility modifications, and PIC updates.
  • Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations with strict adherence to quality standards.
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within the department.
  • Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
  • Manage daily batch record creation, execution, review, and approval processes.
  • Support production scheduling to optimize on-time delivery, inventory management, and capacity planning.
  • Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience serving as Pharmacist in Charge or Pharmacy Manager.
  • Extensive knowledge of USP standards and relevant state and federal regulations governing 503A compounding operations.
  • Proven experience leading audits and managing regulatory inspections effectively.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external regulatory authorities.
  • Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
  • Flexibility to work Saturdays if required
