An immediate opportunity is available for a Pharmacist in Charge to support a 36-bed rehabilitation hospital pharmacy located in Delaware. This contract position demands a hands-on pharmacist to provide leadership and daily staffing while ensuring compliance and safe medication use within this rehab care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC), overseeing pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance
  • Provide direct pharmacy staffing, managing 40 hours per week with oversight of 1 technician per shift
  • Utilize Wellsky pharmacy information system to manage medication orders and inventory
  • Operate Pyxis automation system efficiently for medication dispensing
  • Perform IV compounding (non-chemotherapy) as required to meet patient needs
  • Support weekend, after-hours, or on-call coverage as part of the role
  • Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist with PIC credential or eligibility
  • Previous experience in a rehabilitation or hospital pharmacy environment
  • Proficient with pharmacy automation and information systems, especially Wellsky and Pyxis
  • Demonstrated IV compounding skills; chemo experience not necessary
  • Ability to lead and coordinate pharmacy staff effectively
  • Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with some weekend/after-hours/on-call responsibilities
