An opportunity is available for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to support operations in a low-volume outpatient pharmacy setting located in Frisco, CO. This role involves hands-on leadership in a small pharmacy team of one pharmacist and one technician, focusing on maintaining high standards of pharmacy practice and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily pharmacy operations to ensure seamless workflow, adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, and company policies. You will supervise, train, and support pharmacy staff while actively participating in dispensing, verifying, and filling prescriptions. This position requires a working PIC who can manage operational duties alongside patient-focused dispensing tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations with a focus on efficiency and compliance
  • Maintain strict adherence to all applicable pharmacy laws and accreditation standards
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacists, technicians, and support personnel
  • Accurately dispense, verify, and distribute medications
  • Ensure patient safety through careful medication management and verification
  • Qualifications:

  • Current Pharmacist license in Colorado
  • Recent experience in pharmacy management or as a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)
  • Strong knowledge of outpatient/clinic pharmacy operations and regulations
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills
  • Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 9:15 am to 5:15 pm
  • This position begins as a one-month contract with potential to extend until a permanent internal PIC is hired. For candidates demonstrating the right fit, there is an opportunity to transition to contract-to-hire.
