A Pharmacy-in-Charge (PIC) role is available on a contract temp-to-perm basis in Chandler, AZ, for a 503A compounding pharmacy undergoing a facility relocation. This position requires a dynamic leader to oversee regulatory, operational, and compliance aspects during the transition, ensuring adherence to all applicable standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the designated PIC for Arizona and additional required states.
  • Maintain active pharmacist licensure in Arizona plus licenses in any of the following: AL, AK, AR, IL, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MS, NE, NV, OH, OK, OR, TN, TX.
  • Ensure full compliance with FDA, DEA, USP <795>/<797>, and Arizona Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Lead regulatory inspections, audits, and represent the pharmacy externally.
  • Develop, implement, and update SOPs and staff training programs to maintain high operational standards.
  • Manage submission of necessary reports concerning theft/loss and notify regulatory authorities of PIC or staff changes.
  • Oversee licensure, accreditation, and maintain regulatory documentation throughout the contract.
  • Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Active pharmacist license in Arizona and at least some additional states listed.
  • Minimum of 2 years pharmacy experience, including hosting inspections.
  • Familiarity with compounding operations and DEA regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work full-time day shifts with schedule flexibility.
  • Preference for local candidates; remote candidates considered if willing to maintain licenses remotely and meet multi-state requirements.
  • Location: Chandler, Arizona—with primary responsibility for the local facility’s regulation and operation.
