A leading compounding pharmacy in Ohio is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to oversee regulatory compliance and quality operations at their Albany facility. This onsite role specializes in managing federally regulated compounding activities and ensuring adherence to state and national standards, offering long-term stability and leadership growth. Candidates open to relocation may receive support, and a temporary-to-permanent traveler option is available for the ideal fit.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Full-time, onsite in Albany, Ohio
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Pharmacist-in-Charge for Ohio and other necessary non-resident state licenses
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, State Boards of Pharmacy, and Section 503B regulations
  • Maintain pharmacist and facility licensure across multiple states
  • Lead and represent the facility during inspections by the Board of Pharmacy, FDA, and DEA
  • Develop, update, and maintain SOPs and employee training programs
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, recalls, complaints, and quality-related investigations
  • Provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams
  • Manage QA/QC activities including batch record review, deviation investigations, and environmental monitoring
  • Oversee validation processes for equipment, systems, and manufacturing procedures
  • Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Approve change controls, product labeling, and annual product reviews
  • Monitor incoming materials, vendor qualifications, and reserve sample programs
  • Analyze environmental monitoring data and lead root cause analyses
  • Present quality metrics to site and corporate leadership
  • Qualifications:

  • Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Experience with multi-state licensure preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing teams
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA and DEA regulations, sterile injectable manufacturing, and non-sterile compounding
  • Proven success leading inspections and regulatory audits
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex regulatory and quality information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Preferred:

  • 10+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or related industries
  • 7+ years in quality or compliance roles with progressive responsibility
