A newly established compounding pharmacy in the Miami area is seeking a qualified Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead its sterile compounding launch and ongoing operations. This role offers the unique opportunity to manage regulatory compliance and support the growth of a pharmacy affiliated with a national telehealth pharmacy company. The pharmacy specializes in GLP-1 medications, hormone replacement therapy, and primarily female hormone medications, with potential future expansion into testosterone treatments.

Position Snapshot:

  • Location: Miami, FL (Doral area)
  • Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week
  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Start: Immediate availability preferred
  • Job Type: Contract
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the official Pharmacist-in-Charge with name on the pharmacy license
  • Oversee compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Support workflow and quality standards during sterile compounding launch
  • Review and update policies and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with Director of Pharmacy Operations scheduled to start mid-February
  • Provide pharmacist coverage during operational hours as needed
  • Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Florida Pharmacist License required
  • Multi-state licensure strongly preferred (especially licenses from AK, IL, IA, KS, MI, NE, VA, TX, KY, WV)
  • Prior experience serving as a PIC or Pharmacy Manager
  • Deep knowledge of pharmacy compliance and operational standards
  • Experience with pharmacy startups and compounding (sterile or non-sterile) is highly desirable, but flexible
  • Retail pharmacy background acceptable
  • Willingness to train on compounding procedures if needed
