A retail and long-term care pharmacy requires an Interim Pharmacist in Charge to manage daily operations and ensure exceptional medication services. This position offers an opportunity to apply pharmacy expertise while leading a team dedicated to superior customer care.

Location:

  • Watertown, SD
  • Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Contract Duration:

  • 8 to 13 weeks, with potential for extension
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications as prescribed by physicians and other healthcare providers accurately and efficiently
  • Counsel customers on proper medication use, potential side effects, and answer any related questions to enhance patient understanding and safety
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring every patient interaction is positive and informative
  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including compliance with regulatory requirements and quality control
  • Qualifications:

  • Valid South Dakota Pharmacist License
  • Experience in retail pharmacy and/or long-term care settings preferred
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and education
  • Ability to manage pharmacy workflow and staff effectively
