A reputable 503A compounding pharmacy in Chandler, AZ, seeks a dedicated Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead regulatory and operational compliance during an upcoming facility relocation. This contract-to-perm opportunity offers a full-time day schedule with flexibility required, ideal for pharmacists holding multiple state licenses or those open to remote licensure arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the designated PIC for Arizona and additional non-resident state licenses (AL, AK, AR, IL, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MS, NE, NV, OH, OK, OR, TN, TX)
  • Maintain active licensure and ensure adherence to all relevant pharmacy regulations, including FDA, DEA, USP <795>/<797>, and Arizona Board of Pharmacy standards
  • Oversee pharmacy operations, including SOP development, staff training, and quality assurance programs
  • Lead pharmacy during regulatory inspections, audits, and manage reporting requirements such as theft/loss notifications and licensure updates
  • Maintain thorough documentation for licensure, accreditation, and regulatory compliance throughout the facility decommissioning and transition
  • Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy
  • Active pharmacist license in Arizona and at least some of the specified additional states
  • Minimum of 2 years pharmacy experience, including leading regulatory inspections
  • Familiarity with compounding pharmacy operations and DEA regulatory frameworks
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage compliance in a dynamic environment
  • Location: Chandler, AZ (local candidates preferred; remote candidates considered if able to maintain required licenses)

    Schedule: Full-time day shift with schedule flexibility; contract duration approximately 13+ weeks
