Oversee regulatory and operational excellence as a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at a compounding pharmacy located in Chandler, AZ. This temp-to-perm contract role offers a unique opportunity to lead pharmacy operations during a critical facility relocation phase, ensuring continued compliance with state and federal standards. Candidates must hold multiple active pharmacist licenses and demonstrate strong leadership in pharmacy quality and regulatory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the designated PIC for Arizona and required non-resident states, including AL, AK, AR, IL, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MS, NE, NV, OH, OK, OR, TN, and TX
  • Ensure full compliance with FDA, DEA, USP <795>/<797>, and Arizona Board of Pharmacy regulations
  • Lead and represent the pharmacy during regulatory inspections and audits
  • Develop, update, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and staff training programs
  • Manage licensure, accreditation, and all regulatory documentation
  • Submit required reports for medication theft/loss and notify relevant boards regarding PIC or staff updates and pharmacy operation changes
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy
  • Active pharmacist license in Arizona plus additional states listed above; candidates with complementary license sets (e.g., multiple pharmacists splitting licenses) encouraged to apply
  • Minimum of 2 years pharmacy experience including hosting inspections
  • Familiarity with compounding pharmacy operations and DEA regulatory requirements
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Schedule:

  • Full-time day shift with flexibility required
  • Contract length approximately 13+ weeks with potential permanent placement
