This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist role at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing essential pharmacy services within a community health clinic setting. The facility focuses on serving an underserved patient population through a 340B pharmacy program. The current Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) will be on a medical leave of absence, necessitating coverage for approximately 4 to 6 weeks, with some flexibility on duration. A per diem arrangement is preferred, with consideration for both Pharmacists and Technicians.

  • Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
  • No weekends
  • Responsibilities:

  • Manage all pharmacy operations during the PIC’s absence within a single Pharmacist and Technician model
  • Dispense medications and provide patient-centered pharmaceutical care following 340B guidelines
  • Collaborate with clinic staff to serve the needs of an underserved patient community
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Utilize PioneerRx pharmacy software effectively
  • Qualifications:

  • Active North Carolina Pharmacist license is mandatory
  • 1-3 years of pharmacy experience, ideally including FQHC or similar community health settings
  • Comfortable working independently in a small team environment
  • Patient-focused approach with strong communication skills
  • Spanish-speaking ability is a plus, enhancing patient communication (Technician speaks Spanish; bilingual Pharmacist preferred)
