Support pharmaceutical operations in a dynamic environment by efficiently processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and handling insurance claims at a healthcare facility in Clearwater, FL. This temporary contract position offers an opportunity to utilize your Pharmacy Technician expertise in a fast-paced setting from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5:30 PM, for a 13-week duration starting ASAP or approximately 1.5-2 weeks post-offer clearance.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process prescriptions including insurance adjudications, resolving claim rejections.
  • Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification and distribution.
  • Perform essential data entry, manage prescription documentation, and coordinate communication with patients and prescribers.
  • Maintain precise inventory controls through daily cycle counts, restocking, and monitoring medication expiration dates.
  • Assist with medication returns, quarantines, and destruction procedures.
  • Cross-train across pharmacy functions to support departmental needs efficiently.
  • Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulatory requirements.
  • Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Current PTCB certification and valid Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing.
  • Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience; call center experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, organize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with patients, providers, and internal teams.
  • Location: Clearwater, FL
