Pharmacy Technician Inpatient Hospital- Chicago, IL
RPh on the Go is currently seeking an experienced IL licensed Pharmacy Technician for an inpatient hospital pharmacy in downtown Chicago. This position offers the opportunity to work in both inpatient pharmacy operations and sterile compounding/clean room operations, with the potential for direct hire following the contract.
Responsibilities
Perform a variety of inpatient hospital pharmacy technician duties
Compound medication batches
Prepare sterile medications in the clean room
Prepare and maintain crash carts
Perform Omnicell-related duties
Assist with automated cart filling
Support daily inpatient pharmacy operations
Follow all hospital and pharmacy policies for medication safety and sterile compounding
Requirements
Previous inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
Sterile compounding experience required
Chemotherapy compounding experience is a major plus
Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License
PTCB Certification
Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety
Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends
