Support pharmacy operations in a Retail/Outpatient (FQHC) setting as a Pharmacy Technician on a contract basis, with potential to convert to contract-to-hire. This role is based in Denver, CO, and offers a standard weekday schedule.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Start times: 7:45am, 7:50am, or 8:00am
  • End time: 5:30pm
  • One-hour lunch break from 12:00pm to 1:00pm
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter prescription and patient demographic data into the pharmacy system.
  • Prepare, label, and package prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
  • Process insurance claims, including Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurance, and 340B-eligible prescriptions.
  • Assist patients with prescription pick-ups, refills, transfers, and handle medication inquiries, referring clinical questions to pharmacists.
  • Manage payment processing and adhere to cash-handling protocols.
  • Order medications, manage stock receipt and rotation, and maintain pharmacy inventory.
  • Remove expired medications and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Support clinic medication and vaccine ordering processes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation while protecting patient confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare providers, nurses, medical assistants, and pharmacists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Deliver compassionate service to a diverse patient population, including uninsured and low-income individuals.
  • Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of pharmacy technician experience highly preferred.
  • Active and clear Colorado pharmacy technician license.
  • Certification by PTCB or NHA required.
  • Experience with EPIC Willow preferred; training available (1-2 days) if needed.
