A Pharmacy Technician role is available in a retail/outpatient Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting, offering a contract or contract-to-hire opportunity. This position requires someone dedicated to supporting pharmacy operations while delivering compassionate service to a diverse patient base, including uninsured and low-income individuals.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter prescription and patient demographic information into the pharmacy system.
  • Fill, label, package, and prepare prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
  • Process insurance claims for Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurance, and 340B-eligible prescriptions.
  • Assist patients with prescription pick-ups, refills, transfers, and medication inquiries, directing clinical questions to the pharmacist.
  • Handle payments and adhere to cash-handling policies.
  • Order medications, manage inventory including receiving shipments and rotating stock.
  • Remove expired medications and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Assist in managing clinic medication and vaccine orders.
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
  • Collaborate with providers, nurses, medical assistants, and pharmacists to support coordinated patient care.
  • Deliver empathetic, customer-focused service to a diverse population.
  • Desired Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of pharmacy technician experience preferred.
  • Active, clear Pharmacy Technician license in Colorado.
  • Certification through PTCB or NHA is required.
  • Familiarity with EPIC Willow is a plus; training available (1-2 days) if needed.
