Pharmacist in Charge (Part-Time, 13-Week Contract)
Are you a licensed pharmacist looking for a flexible, short-term opportunity with a growing pharmacy organization? We are seeking a Part-Time Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to join a high-volume retail and mail-order pharmacy in Irving, Texas for a 13-week contract assignment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacist who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing safe, accurate medication verification and exceptional patient support.
About the Opportunity
13-week contract assignment
Approximately 20 hours per week
Flexible scheduling with day or mid-shift availability
High-volume pharmacy processing 1,000–1,500 prescriptions daily
Pharmacy management system: DRx
Responsibilities
Verify prescription orders for accuracy and compliance
Review and validate medication orders
Answer inbound calls from patients and physician offices regarding medications
Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations
Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality assurance
Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in Texas (TX) and Alabama (AL) (required for current hiring needs)
Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
