An infusion pharmacy manager opportunity is available for a direct hire position located in Columbus, OH, with a start date ASAP. The position requires managing pharmacy staff with strong emphasis on training and orientation, and prefers candidates with infusion pharmacy experience, though specialty pharmacy experience will also be considered.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Must have schedule flexibility
  • Administrative on-call duties included
  • Key responsibilities include directing pharmacy operations to ensure effective and compliant services, demonstrating strong knowledge of USP 797 and USP 800 standards, and managing pharmacy compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring activities safely and efficiently. The role demands oversight of licensing adherence, conducting patient assessments, revising care plans, preparing pharmaceutical formulations, maintaining controlled substances security, and interfacing with healthcare providers. Additionally, the pharmacy manager will serve as a drug information resource, participate in sales support activities, maintain an on-call pharmacist schedule, and fulfill comprehensive managerial duties such as hiring, training, performance management, team development, and strategic planning.

    Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Registered Pharmacist (R.Ph.) with appropriate clinical acumen
  • Applicable active state pharmacist licensure; additional licensure may be necessary per state
  • Postgraduate training preferred
  • Minimum seven years of pharmacy experience, with a preference for direct compounding expertise
  • Specialty pharmacy or home infusion experience highly preferred
  • Familiarity with pharmacy systems such as CPR+ or CareTend beneficial
