A telehealth opportunity for an experienced pharmacist with multi-state licensure is available to support a growing Medication Therapy Management (MTM) consulting project. This remote contract assignment begins in October and runs approximately 13 weeks, offering a chance to work virtually with a leading telepharmacy service expanding across numerous states.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive medication reviews (CMRs) and targeted medication reviews (TMRs) via phone or video with patients to optimize therapy, enhance adherence, and address side effects.
  • Evaluate utilization management requests, including prior authorizations and formulary exceptions, per clinical guidelines and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with prescribers to recommend cost-effective, formulary-compliant alternatives when needed.
  • Engage in proactive outreach to close gaps in care, coordinating with patients and providers to ensure appropriate chronic disease management.
  • Support formulary development by assisting in translating clinical guidelines into rules for claims adjudication systems and reviewing complicated claims data.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state telepharmacy regulations, and client contractual requirements through thorough documentation.
  • Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required.
  • Active, unrestricted pharmacist licenses in multiple states (minimum 5 preferred) including Louisiana for enhanced opportunity.
  • Minimum 2 years clinical pharmacy experience, ideally within managed care, PBM, or telehealth pharmacy settings.
  • Strong knowledge of chronic disease management, drug utilization review, and formulary processes.
  • Proficient with telehealth technologies, electronic health records, and PBM claims platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and provider collaboration.
  • States of interest include Alaska, Arkansas, California, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming, and Louisiana.
