Long-Term Care Pharmacy | Direct Hire
Join a pharmacy team that plays a vital role in supporting long-term care residents throughout the community. We are currently seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to assist with medication packaging, inventory management, and prescription fulfillment in a closed-door pharmacy setting.
This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity offering consistent hours, career stability, and hands-on training in multiple pharmacy departments.
What You'll Be Doing
Package medications in blister packs and unit-dose formats for resident use
Prepare prescriptions for distribution and delivery
Assist with inventory control, medication stocking, and receiving shipments
Monitor medication expiration dates and maintain proper storage practices
Keep patient and medication records accurate and up to date
Support pharmacy workflow to ensure prescriptions are processed efficiently and accurately
Preferred Qualifications
At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience
New York State Pharmacy Technician registration is a plus
PTCB certification preferred, but not required
Ability to work in a high-volume pharmacy environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience with pharmacy software is helpful; training will be provided
Schedule
🕘 Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
📅 Rotating weekends required
Pay Range
💲 $18/hour for non-certified technicians
💲 $19–$20/hour for certified technicians, based on experience
