This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacy Manager to serve as the working Director of Pharmacy at a small Critical Access Hospital with 25 beds. The role involves leading pharmacy operations, overseeing staffing, managing sterile compounding work, and supporting two pharmacy technicians. This position offers a contract-to-hire arrangement, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the working Director of Pharmacy, managing all pharmacy operations
  • Provide leadership and support for pharmacy staff, including two technicians
  • Conduct sterile compounding according to established protocols
  • Oversee inpatient hospital pharmacy services
  • Utilize Paragon for order entry and Pyxis for site automation
  • Manage compliance with regulatory standards including 340B program guidelines
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Prior pharmacy supervisor or management experience required
  • Solid inpatient hospital pharmacy background essential
  • Proficient in sterile compounding techniques
  • Experience with 340B pharmacy program considered a plus
  • Must possess a valid Nebraska pharmacy license or be eligible to obtain one
