Lead pharmacy operations across multiple states as a Director of Pharmacy based in Clearwater, FL. This permanent, direct hire role requires managing day-to-day functions while ensuring compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations. You will provide strategic leadership to pharmacy teams, develop policies and best practices, oversee performance management, and drive operational excellence, quality, and financial performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multi-state pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance efforts.
  • Provide guidance and strategic direction to pharmacy managers, supervisors, and staff.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage high-performing teams.
  • Establish and enforce pharmacy policies, procedures, workflows, and operational standards.
  • Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives and chair quality review committees.
  • Monitor financial performance, evaluate business decisions, and implement cost-control measures.
  • Maintain vendor and manufacturer relationships to ensure product availability, service quality, and competitive pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with Board of Pharmacy regulations, Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and other applicable standards.
  • Promote effective communication, customer service excellence, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Represent the organization with professionalism while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare, Business, or a related field (or equivalent education and experience).
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 4 years in leadership or management.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, Board of Pharmacy requirements, and healthcare reimbursement.
  • Experience in performance management, process improvement, and quality assurance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, coaching, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to analyze business and regulatory information, manage multiple priorities, and drive results.
  • Multi-state pharmacy licensures required.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
