A dynamic opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist to support pharmacy operations in Liberty Lake, WA, through a 9-week contract starting August 3. This role involves comprehensive pharmacy duties that ensure safe and effective medication management while providing patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and identify patterns of over-usage.
  • Ensure medication supply complies with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Provide detailed patient counseling on medication usage, potential reactions, and answer questions.
  • Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files with accuracy and discretion.
  • Offer consultation on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Deliver patient services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.
  • Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
  • Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions according to established protocols.
  • Supervise pharmacy staff members, including technicians and clerks.
  • Manage pharmaceutical and medical inventory to maintain adequate supplies.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, interns, and other healthcare professionals to resolve drug-related problems.
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • WA pharmacist license in-hand is required.
  • Experience as a retail pharmacist welcomed; training will be provided as needed.
  • Ability to perform PV1 and PV2 level duties.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, day and evening shifts.
  • Possible weekend rotation.
