Seeking experienced pharmacists to support outpatient oncology infusion services at multiple locations across the Greater Los Angeles area. This contract opportunity requires professionals with a strong background in intravenous (IV) medication preparation and verification, including a solid understanding of USP 797 and USP 800 guidelines. Candidates with chemotherapy experience are highly preferred, though not mandatory.

Locations include sites in West LA, Santa Monica, and Atascadero, with flexibility to travel between these locations being a major asset. This role offers the chance to work within a respected healthcare network utilizing EPIC electronic health records to ensure safe and efficient patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and check IV medication orders, with attention to safety and compliance standards.
  • Adhere strictly to USP 797 and USP 800 guidelines governing sterile compounding and hazardous drug handling.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in outpatient oncology infusion settings.
  • Utilize EPIC systems for documentation and communication.
  • Maintain accuracy and timeliness in medication preparation to support clinical workflows.
  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Licensed pharmacist with active credentials.
  • Demonstrated expertise in IV admixture checks and preparation.
  • Knowledgeable of USP 797 and USP 800 standards.
  • Chemotherapy compounding and oncology pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel between multiple health system sites in the Los Angeles metro area.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, day shifts.
  • Contract Details:

  • Duration of 13 weeks or longer.
