A leading healthcare warehouse is seeking two skilled pharmacists for a 13-week contract to support medication management operations. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy, safety, and compliance of pharmaceutical inventory and distribution within a dynamic warehouse environment.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of medications, including refrigerated and specialty products.
  • Manage inventory levels by ordering medications and supplies, minimizing waste and expired products.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions in compliance with USP standards and state/federal regulations.
  • Verify all medication orders before preparation or shipment.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians responsible for inventory, picking, packing, and shipping tasks.
  • Collaborate with sterile compounding pharmacists and technicians to guarantee the availability of necessary medications and supplies.
  • Review controlled substance inventories and maintain accurate, required documentation.
  • Conduct cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and quality assurance audits.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, nursing, and operations teams to ensure timely medication delivery.
  • Utilize pharmacy software and inventory management systems for accurate tracking.
  • Qualifications:

  • Current and clear Illinois pharmacist license.
  • Familiarity with IV medication processes preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical inventory management and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent organizational and supervisory skills.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy management software and inventory tracking systems.
