Employment Type: Local Contract with Direct Hire Potential
Assignment Length: 13 weeks with a strong chance of permanent conversion
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM — 1 hour lunch — 40 hours per week

Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive pharmacy services in a specialty retail and compounding environment
Perform sterile compounding in compliance with USP 797 standards
Perform non-sterile compounding in compliance with USP 795 standards
Verify and process medication orders accurately and efficiently using PK order entry system
Counsel patients on specialty medication therapies, and compounded preparations
Collaborate with prescribers and healthcare providers on patient medication needs
Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations and standards
Contribute to the overall quality and efficiency of daily pharmacy operations
Experience
Minimum 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience required
Sterile compounding experience a strong plus
Non-sterile compounding experience a strong plus
Specialty pharmacy experience preferred
Skills
Genuine passion for the clinical and technical craft of pharmacy
Strong patient communication and counseling skills
Detail-oriented with a commitment to compounding accuracy and quality
Adaptable and eager to learn new systems and workflows
Collaborative and professional in all patient and provider interactions
Qualifications
An active North Carolina Pharmacist License is required
PK order entry system experience preferred, training provided for the right candidate

Education
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy
