A retail pharmacy in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical services in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Responsibilities: • Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately using PioneerRx • Provide patient counseling and answer medication-related questions • Oversee pharmacy workflow and support pharmacy technicians • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations • Deliver excellent customer service to patients and staff • Assist with Saturday coverage as required
Schedule: • Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM • Saturday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM • Part-time or full-time schedules considered; flexibility to work 1-2 Saturdays per month
Qualifications: • Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing • Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred • Familiarity with PioneerRx is a plus • Comfortable working in a high-volume prescription environment (approximately 3,000 scripts/week) • Strong communication and customer service skills • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
This pharmacy is staffed with 2 pharmacists and 5-6 technicians on weekdays, and 1 pharmacist with 3-4 technicians on Saturdays, providing excellent support to ensure efficient operations.
