This opportunity seeks skilled Pharmacy Technicians with IV certification to support infusion pharmacy operations in Brooklyn, NY. The position focuses on sterile IV clean room compounding and requires professionals who are detail-oriented and experienced in preparing and processing IV medications under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. This is a 13-week contract with the potential to transition into a permanent role based on performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Compound sterile IV medications following strict clean room protocols and regulatory standards
  • Fill prescriptions and prepare IV admixtures under direct pharmacist supervision
  • Assist in medication prepackaging and final prescription checking processes
  • Coordinate medication packaging and delivery to ensure timely and accurate patient care
  • Collaborate with billing to enter prescription and reimbursement data accurately
  • Support inventory management including receipt, rotation, and documentation of medication stock
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and calibration of equipment in the pharmacy work area
  • Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current New York State Pharmacy Technician license required
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) mandatory
  • Prior experience working in IV or infusion pharmacy settings highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of sterile compounding procedures and pharmacy regulations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacists and pharmacy management
  • Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Choose between 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM shift
