Pharmacy Technician Inpatient Hospital
Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician looking for an opportunity to expand your hospital pharmacy skills? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join a busy inpatient hospital pharmacy team on a 13-week contract assignment.
Position Details
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 8 or 10-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
Weekend Rotation: Every 4th weekend (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
Environment: Inpatient Hospital
Automation System: Pyxis
Responsibilities
Restock and maintain Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets
Perform medication and supply restocking throughout the hospital
Conduct medication outdate inspections
Enter patient and medication charges accurately
Order and receive pharmaceutical shipments
Monitor and document medication storage temperatures
Prepare sterile compounded products
Assist with chemotherapy preparation
Perform daily cleanroom cleaning and maintenance procedures
Support pharmacy operations with additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Active Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician license
Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
Sterile compounding experience
Experience working with Pyxis automation systems
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
