Pharmacy Technician in Nanuet, NY
A direct hire opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support medication preparation within a closed-door, long-term care facility. This role focuses on day shift production, managing an average volume of approximately 600 prescriptions daily with exposure to both dosage preparation and toting functions.
Responsibilities include preparing medications in appropriate packaging such as blister packs and unit-dose formats, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to residents. The technician will assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while diligently monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates. Maintaining precise patient and medication records is essential to ensure compliance and safety.
This position uses the Frameworks software system, and training is provided for those unfamiliar with the platform. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with rotating weekends required.
