This role offers an exciting opportunity for a Certified Pharmacy Technician licensed in Maryland and Virginia to serve as a vital liaison between pharmacy services and multiple healthcare facilities across these states. Focused on travel to facilities primarily located throughout Virginia and parts of Maryland, this position emphasizes building and maintaining strong professional relationships, ensuring quality medication therapy, and supporting long-term care environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for assigned healthcare facilities, collaborating closely with facility leadership and staff to bridge pharmacy and on-site care services.
  • Provide expert guidance on medication therapy, regulatory compliance, and pharmacy operations in partnership with clinical services directors.
  • Proactively address client inquiries and resolve issues efficiently to maintain high satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand service offerings and introduce innovative pharmacy solutions tailored to each facility’s needs.
  • Conduct training sessions for facility staff on medication management, pharmacy systems, and newly implemented protocols.
  • Perform monthly onsite visits, prepare detailed reports, and support survey readiness.
  • Conduct medication room inspections, medication pass observations, and other quality assurance activities as requested.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal pharmacy teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Pharmacy Technician licenses for Virginia and Maryland.
  • PTCB certification highly preferred.
  • Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy and medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory; occasional overnight stays may be necessary.
  • Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, primarily 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Rare weekend work.
  • Flexibility to work later hours for audits or special assignments.
  • Location:

  • Facilities throughout Virginia (including Alexandria, Woodbridge, Fairfax, Richmond, Hampton, Newport News, Yorktown) and select locations in Maryland.
