Join a specialized sterile compounding pharmacy team operating within a USP 797/800 cleanroom environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform sterile compounding using validated aseptic techniques that comply with USP 797/800 guidelines and state/federal regulations.
  • Maintain ISO-classified cleanroom standards through routine cleaning, sanitization, and environmental control to protect product sterility and patient safety.
  • Accurately execute production duties including equipment setup, labeling, calculations, filtration, and thorough documentation.
  • Prepare batches and stage materials in coordination with pharmacists and supervisors to meet daily compounding schedules.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives such as root cause analysis and waste reduction to optimize workflow and quality.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities including visual inspection, sample handling, cleaning validations, and inventory rotation following FIFO principles.
  • Adhere strictly to garbing and gowning protocols to maintain cleanroom integrity.
  • Communicate clearly with the team regarding workload management, equipment status, and process enhancements.
  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a sterile compounding pharmacy technician.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of sterile technique, aseptic behavior, and cleanroom practices.
  • Ability to follow detailed written procedures, compounding formulas, and batch records with precision.
  • Proficiency in math calculations and measurements related to compounding.
  • Comfortable wearing PPE (masks, gowns, gloves, sterile garb) for extended periods.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Demonstrated ownership and accountability regarding work quality and compliance.
  • Michigan pharmacy technician license.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification or eligibility to obtain within required timeframe.
