A leading 503A compounding pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) / Pharmacy Director to oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations and ensure regulatory compliance. This position is a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity offering the chance to lead a highly specialized sterile and non-sterile compounding facility.

Location: New Castle, DE
Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Flexible Saturdays as needed
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the legally designated PIC across multiple non-resident state pharmacy licenses.
  • Act as the primary liaison with Boards of Pharmacy, FDA, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain full regulatory accountability for state, federal, FDA 503A, and USP compliance.
  • Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations including batch record management, quality assurance, and environmental monitoring.
  • Lead and supervise pharmacists, supervisors, technicians, and production personnel.
  • Support production scheduling, inventory accuracy, and capacity planning to ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage audit preparations and regulatory inspections to maintain compliance and quality standards.
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in Pennsylvania (PA Pharmacist License required)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as Pharmacist-in-Charge or Pharmacy Manager
  • In-depth knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, and applicable state and federal regulations specific to 503A compounding operations
  • Proven leadership skills in managing pharmacy teams and overseeing regulatory inspections
