This opportunity calls for a skilled Staff Pharmacist to support long-term care (LTC) and mail order pharmacy services in Lansdale, PA. This per diem position offers an 8-week contract with daytime hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, including every other weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately accept, dispense, and verify prescription medications.
  • Monitor patient medication adherence and identify patterns of over-use.
  • Ensure all medication supplies comply with legal regulations.
  • Confirm prescribed medicines are appropriate and safe for patients.
  • Maintain confidential, precise patient records and pharmacy files.
  • Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
  • Provide additional patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management.
  • Educate patients on using medical devices such as glucose monitors and blood pressure monitors.
  • Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions adhering to protocols.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and clerks, overseeing workflow and staff performance.
  • Manage pharmaceutical inventory and medical supplies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address drug-related issues impacting patient care.
  • Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in Pennsylvania.
  • Proven pharmacy experience, with emphasis on long-term care and mail order environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical laws and patient confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient education and healthcare collaboration.
  • Ability to supervise and lead pharmacy staff effectively.
  • Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Every other weekend on shift
