Lead the strategic advancement of pharmacy services as a Director of Pharmacy focused on outpatient and clinic settings within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment. This direct hire role, based in Kansas City, MO, welcomes candidates local to the area or open to relocation, with an ideal start by September.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary leadership and operational management of all pharmacy services, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee the HRSA 340B Drug Pricing Program, maintaining audit readiness, policy development, and resource optimization to expand patient access and support health equity.
  • Manage pharmacy financial performance, including budgeting, capital planning, contract pharmacy oversight, and business development initiatives.
  • Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge, ensuring licensure compliance, pharmacy security, and controlled substance accountability.
  • Collaborate with executive and clinical teams to integrate pharmacy services with organizational and population health goals.
  • Develop and maintain policies, quality assurance programs, and compliance with HRSA, payer, and accreditation standards.
  • Lead recruitment, development, and performance management of pharmacy staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide clinical oversight to optimize medication therapy management and support evidence-based pharmaceutical care.
  • Cultivate partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance pharmacy operations and 340B program success.
  • Stay current with pharmacy practices, regulations, and industry trends to drive innovation and excellence.

    • Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Minimum seven years of outpatient pharmacy supervisory experience.
  • At least three years experience with outpatient pharmacy 340B, FQHC, HRSA, and AAAHC compliance.
  • Preferred certifications include BCACP, 340B University On-Demand, and 340B Advanced Operations Certificate (ACE).
