We are seeking an experienced Illinois-licensed Pharmacist to step into an interim leadership role supporting the launch of a new behavioral health hospital. This position combines the responsibilities of Director of Pharmacy (DOP) and Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and is ideal for someone who enjoys building pharmacy operations from the ground up.
What You'll Do
Lead all pharmacy operations as the acting Director of Pharmacy and PIC
Support the opening of a new inpatient behavioral health facility
Set up pharmacy workflows and operational processes
Stock and maintain Omnicell medication cabinets
Review and verify medication orders
Coordinate Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) meetings
Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards
Schedule
Monday through Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
On-call after scheduled shifts
Occasional weekend on-call may be required
Qualifications
Active Illinois Pharmacist license required
Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Leadership experience as a Director of Pharmacy or PIC is a plus
Familiarity with HCS and Omnicell systems is preferred, but training is available
