Inpatient Staff Pharmacist, Travel Contract, Berlin New Hampshire
We have a great opportunity at a community hospital in New Hampshire, and honestly, if you have never been to northern New Hampshire, this assignment might change your life a little. We are looking for an experienced inpatient pharmacist who is comfortable working independently and ready to jump into a full-service hospital supporting ICU, Labor and Delivery, Medical Surgical, and Emergency Department patients. Employment Type: Travel Contract
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Work Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week. Rotating weekend coverage every third weekend, Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Systems: Meditech, Omnicell
Travel Package: Full housing, meals and mileage covered, weekly pay, medical benefits
Responsibilities
-Provide comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services across ICU, Labor and Delivery, Medical Surgical, and -----Emergency Department.
-Verify and process medication orders using Meditech
-Manage Omnicell automated dispensing throughout the facility
-Consult with physicians and nurses on medication therapy and patient care
-Work independently on weekend shifts, which are shorter and very manageable
-Ensure safe medication dispensing and compliance throughout all operations
Experience
-Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience required
-Must be comfortable working independently, especially on weekend shifts
-Meditech experience preferred
-Omnicell familiarity a plus
Qualifications
-Active New Hampshire Pharmacist License required or willing to obtain
