A direct hire opportunity is available for a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) focused on operations and compliance in a multi-state home infusion pharmacy setting. This role emphasizes regulatory oversight and operational excellence without managing production staff.

Location: New Providence, NJ (on-site)
Schedule: Full Time, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
Licensure: Active pharmacist license in New Jersey required; must obtain licenses in Tennessee, New York, and Massachusetts within 6 months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee pharmacy operations ensuring regulatory compliance across order review, verification, dispensing, labeling, recordkeeping, and shipping.
  • Ensure multi-state multi-jurisdiction dispensing adheres to state board of pharmacy regulations, DEA mandates, licensing, inspections, audits, and shipping laws.
  • Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures for compliance across multiple states.
  • Provide clinical and quality oversight for enteral nutrition therapy, drug utilization review (DUR), adverse event reporting, and quality assurance programs.
  • Collaborate effectively with clinical, intake, operations, reimbursement, HR, and compliance teams.
  • Maintain compliance documentation, supporting credentialing, accreditation, and regulatory audits.
  • Travel occasionally for audits, hearings, or facility oversight as needed.
  • Qualifications:

  • PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited program.
  • Active, unrestricted NJ pharmacist license with ability to secure TN, NY, and MA licenses within 6 months (with a $2,000 bonus for each license obtained).
  • Active DEA registration and capability to obtain controlled-substance registrations.
  • 3–5 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in home infusion, specialty pharmacy, or enteral/parenteral nutrition.
  • Previous PIC or pharmacy management experience is required; expertise in multi-state pharmacy compliance highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, dispensing systems, enteral nutrition therapy, and shipping compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, regulatory judgment, documentation, and communication skills.
  • BCNSP certification is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to conduct computer-based order reviews and verifications for extended periods.
