Lead the strategic and operational management of a hospital pharmacy department serving a large healthcare facility. This role oversees a team of over 100 employees including full-time, part-time, and PRN staff. The director is responsible for key direct reports managing various pharmacy operations such as inpatient and ambulatory care, clinical services, inventory, sterile compounding, and daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction for inpatient and ambulatory pharmacy services.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational managers to ensure safe and effective medication use.
  • Oversee inventory management and sterile compounding processes to meet regulatory standards.
  • Implement policies and procedures to optimize pharmacy workflow and compliance.
  • Foster staff development and performance management across all pharmacy areas.
  • Liaise with healthcare leadership to align pharmacy services with organizational goals.
  • Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in pharmacy management.
  • 3 to 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Clinical pharmacy background and/or experience managing pharmacy staffing.
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain a Florida pharmacist license.
  • Florida Consultant Pharmacist License required.
