A specialty compounding pharmacy is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to support both sterile and non-sterile production departments under the direction of the Pharmacy Supervisor. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, USP standards, and company policies while providing patient care related to compounded and traditional medications. This position blends hands-on compounding oversight with patient counseling, requiring a strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and compounding standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring accuracy and compliance of compounded sterile and non-sterile preparations based on master formula worksheets
  • Implementing and following SOPs to maintain regulatory compliance and patient safety
  • Adhering to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines for compounding procedures
  • Performing calculations, documentation, and quality control testing of compounded medications
  • Operating and monitoring production equipment with precision and according to company protocols
  • Preparing sterile work areas and enforcing cleaning and garbing policies
  • Staying current on compounding techniques, technologies, and professional development opportunities
  • Assisting prescription dispensing personnel as needed and providing patient counseling
  • Qualifications:

  • Active PA Pharmacist license
  • Recent experience in pharmacy practice
  • Background in sterile compounding required
  • Open to recent graduates eager to develop compounding expertise
  • Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, with shifts from 8:00am–4:30pm or 9:00am–5:30pm
  • Occasional shifts from 10:30am–7:00pm may also be assigned
  • Location: New Castle, DE

    This opportunity is contract to hire with a 13-week initial assignment. Compensation ranges from $55 for new graduates up to $65 based on experience.
