A well-established, 359-bed pediatric trauma and teaching hospital in Arkansas is seeking skilled Clinical Pharmacists for night shifts on a contract basis. This opportunity offers the chance to serve in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment recognized as one of the largest pediatric medical providers in the country.

Location: Jacksonville, AR
Type: Contract (13 weeks, potential temp to hire)
Schedule:

  • 7 days on, 7 days off (nights)
  • 12-hour shifts, Thursday through Wednesday, 7pm–7am
  • Scheduling flexibility considered by Director of Pharmacy
  • Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Arkansas pharmacist license (temporary license available; candidates in process of obtaining license may be considered)
  • Minimum 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
  • IV experience or IV certification preferred
  • Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) designation a plus
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately compound and dispense medications according to physician’s orders and hospital protocols
  • Collaborate with medical staff on drug interactions, patient histories, and appropriate medication use
  • Review and verify dosing appropriateness based on pediatric patient specifics such as age, weight, and diagnosis
  • Identify and resolve therapy-related issues including allergies, adverse reactions, and drug duplications
  • Support formulary management by evaluating non-formulary drugs and recommending cost-effective therapies
  • Educate patients, pharmacy technicians, students, and medical staff; assist in discharge planning
  • Conduct drug information services and participate in drug utilization reviews
  • Manage medication inventory and coordinate procurement, substitutions, and recalls
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and hospital pharmacy standards
