Clinical Pharmacist - Cypress, TX

A Clinical Pharmacist opportunity is available to provide overnight pharmaceutical care at a women’s healthcare site. This 14-week contract role begins on May 18 and requires working a 7-on/7-off schedule from 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The position supports patients ranging from neonatal to adult, ensuring safe and effective medication management in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include managing the medication process by reviewing orders for appropriateness based on patient diagnosis, weight, allergies, and drug interactions to prevent medication incidents. As a registered pharmacist, you will accurately enter medication orders into the system using EPIC EMR, verify dispensing accuracy, and ensure timely processing and delivery of doses within established guidelines. Maintaining strict aseptic technique and infection control standards in the preparation of sterile products is essential. You will also oversee compliance among pharmacy technicians and colleagues, including successful completion of annual aseptic technique re-certification with a score of 90% or higher.
