A permanent opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care across Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU) settings, along with contributing to the antibiotic stewardship team. This role provides a unique chance to expand clinical expertise by supporting multiple units rather than being limited to a single specialty area.

Location: State College, PA – a vibrant community home to Penn State University, offering both cultural and outdoor recreational amenities. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates, including those without a current PA license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter and verify medication orders while reviewing profiles for clinical appropriateness.
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services tailored to patient populations in ED and ICU.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds and collaborate with healthcare teams.
  • Conduct drug therapy monitoring and pharmacist-managed consults under established protocols.
  • Engage actively in urgent patient care scenarios, including cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma interventions.
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree required.
  • Completion of PGY1 residency or a minimum of three years of current clinical pharmacy experience.
  • PA pharmacist license preferred; candidates without a PA license but with eligibility to obtain are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records is a plus.
  • Schedule:

  • Variable day and afternoon shifts, primarily 8-hour shifts during daytime hours.
