A Pharmacy Retail Supervisor position is available in Peridot, AZ, offering a full-time, contract opportunity with an initial duration of 13+ weeks and potential for extension. This role emphasizes leadership within pharmacy retail operations, blending clinical expertise with management responsibilities. Candidates local to the area are preferred with the potential for full-time conversion, although travelers will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards.
  • Develop and monitor financial and operational goals, integrating improvements into quality systems.
  • Lead the creation and review of policies and procedures to enhance department functions.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve processes and service effectiveness.
  • Manage staff performance, training, and professional development.
  • Supervise inventory management and purchasing to ensure cost-effective and timely medication access.
  • Implement and monitor pharmacy technician systems to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare reports, track departmental progress, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in orientation, training, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred.
  • One-year residency (PGY1) experience preferred.
  • Minimum of five years professional pharmacy experience with at least two years in management.
  • At least three years as a pharmacist; two years in hospital practice preferred.
  • Current and active, unrestricted pharmacist license; Arizona license preferred.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association, obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Licensed or ability to become licensed to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications preferred.
  • Successful completion of background and drug screening.
  • Schedule:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday
  • 8-hour shifts
