An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Retail Supervisor in Peridot, AZ, offering full-time hours on a contract basis for at least 13 weeks, with potential extensions. This role primarily supports pharmacy operations within a retail setting and may suit candidates local to the area with interest in converting to a full-time employee, though travelers will also be considered.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards.
  • Develop and monitor financial and operational goals, integrating improvements into quality systems.
  • Lead development and implementation of department policies and procedures.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance service processes and effectiveness.
  • Manage staff performance, training, and development initiatives.
  • Oversee inventory management and purchasing to maintain cost-effective and timely medication availability.
  • Implement and monitor pharmacy technician systems for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare reports, track progress, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in staff orientation, ongoing training, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred.
  • One-year residency (PGY1) preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of professional pharmacy experience, including at least two years in a management role.
  • Minimum of two years hospital practice experience preferred.
  • Current, active, and unrestricted pharmacist license; Arizona license preferred.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required within 30 days of hire.
  • Licensed to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications preferred.
  • Ability to successfully pass background and drug screening.
