An exciting remote opportunity is available for Pharmacy Technicians to support patient outreach efforts over a 3-4 month contract starting late July. This role focuses on telephonic communication aimed at improving patient adherence to medications related to chronic conditions such as hypertension, cholesterol, and diabetes.

Location: Remote (Preference for candidates in Eastern or Central Time Zones)
Contract Duration: July 27 to mid-November
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM ET (flexibility for some afternoons, evenings, and Saturday mornings)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inbound and outbound calls to patients, providers, pharmacies, and other stakeholders to coordinate patient care and obtain necessary medical information.
  • Document comprehensive post-call notes using patient-centered tools.
  • Collaborate across teams to streamline pharmacy processes, focusing on adherence improvement.
  • Address patient-related needs while incorporating health literacy principles.
  • Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician.
  • Previous experience in call/support center environments preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with telephonic support, documentation, and Medicare STAR ratings.
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone presence and patient interaction.
  • Proficiency using electronic health record (EHR) systems, Microsoft Excel, and Google Suite.
  • Ability to multitask, demonstrate critical thinking, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a disciplined work-from-home mindset.
  • Work from Home Requirements:

  • Dedicated private workspace free of background noise.
  • Reliable high-speed internet (min. 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload) with wired Ethernet connection (Wi-Fi not permitted).
  • Equipment is provided and must be returned after contract completion.
