A licensed Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to oversee pharmacy operations in Kennett Square, PA. This role requires managing all aspects of compliance, quality assurance, and team leadership within a regulated compounding environment. This is a 13-week contract to hire assignment, providing a chance to demonstrate your leadership in a dynamic pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the legally designated PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses unless otherwise assigned.
  • Serve as the main liaison for Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of operational, ownership, facility, and PIC changes.
  • Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations, ensuring compliance with USP and relevant federal/state regulations.
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
  • Review and approve daily batch records and support production scheduling for on-time delivery and inventory management.

  • Kennett Square, Pennsylvania
  • Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Flexible availability on Saturdays if required
  • Qualifications:

  • Active PA Pharmacist License
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Pharmacist in Charge or Pharmacy Manager
  • In-depth knowledge of USP standards and other regulatory requirements related to 503A compounding operations
  • Proven experience managing audits and regulatory inspections effectively
