Pharmacist- Hospital Inpatient

We are seeking an experienced Hospital Inpatient Pharmacist for a long-term contract opportunity within a large county health system in Los Angeles, California. Responsibilities
Review, verify, and dispense medication orders in an inpatient hospital setting
Ensure medication accuracy, appropriate dosing, and compliance with safety standards
Monitor patient medication therapies for effectiveness and safety
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to optimize patient care
Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Provide drug information and clinical support to healthcare staff
Participate in medication preparation and distribution activities
Maintain accurate medication records and documentation

Work Hours
8-hour shifts
Must be flexible to work day and evening shifts
Occasional night shift coverage may be required
Full-time schedule

Qualifications
Active California Pharmacist License
Ability to pass required competency examination (one attempt allowed)
Willingness to complete Livescan background screening
Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
Open to long-term contract placement

Preferred Experience
PGY1 Residency strongly preferred
Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Experience working in large health systems preferred

Hiring Process
On-site interview required
Agency onboarding typically takes 4–6 weeks
Candidates must pass a required pharmacy competency examination
Successful completion of Livescan background check required prior to start
