Per Diem Pharmacist in Lewiston, ME

A per diem opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist specializing in home infusion services at an ambulatory infusion therapy clinic focused on IV and infusion care for patients with acute and chronic medical needs.

Location: • Portland, ME

Schedule: • Approximately 2 days per month with flexible scheduling • Additional PRN coverage hours as needed

Responsibilities: • Evaluate and process physician orders while verifying insurance benefits • Perform sterile compounding and support cleanroom operations following USP 797 standards • Ensure safe dispensing of medications and infusion-related supplies • Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records in compliance with federal and state regulations • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff • Manage patient caseloads and provide backup coverage for other pharmacists

Qualifications: • Active Maine Pharmacist License in good standing • Minimum of 1+ year pharmacy experience required • 2+ years clinical pharmacy experience preferred • Experience with infusion therapy and sterile compounding mandatory • Strong skills in communication, multitasking, time management, and critical thinking
