Long-Term Care Pharmacist Andover, MA
We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join a long-term care mail-order pharmacy in Andover, Massachusetts for a 13-week contract assignment with the potential for permanent hire. This opportunity is ideal for pharmacists with retail or long-term care experience who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Schedule:
Rotating first and second shifts
8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 2:30 PM–11:00 PM
Rotating weekends
Key Responsibilities:
Review and verify physician orders to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
Dispense medications in accordance with long-term care and mail-order pharmacy standards.
Maintain and update patient medication profiles and records.
Monitor medication therapies and resolve drug-related issues.
Conduct medication regimen reviews to support quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
Provide drug information and guidance to nurses, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize treatment plans.
Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy regulations.
Manage workflow, verify orders, and support pharmacy operations using the Frameworks system.
Assist with medication adherence programs and other pharmacy services.
Qualifications:
Active Massachusetts pharmacist license required.
Previous retail or long-term care pharmacy experience.
PharmD preferred.
Experience with Frameworks is a plus.
Compensation:
$60-65 per hour.
This 13-week assignment offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.
