This opportunity is ideal for a Certified Pharmacy Technician with experience in sterile compounding who is ready to contribute to a dynamic pharmacy team supporting infusion and specialty patients. This contract-to-hire position located in High Springs, FL offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM within a fast-paced environment focused on quality and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sterile compounded medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist while strictly adhering to USP and USP standards.
  • Maintain aseptic technique, cleanroom procedures, and ensure environmental monitoring is executed accurately.
  • Accurately perform pharmacy calculations and prepare compounded products with strong attention to detail.
  • Assist with labeling, packaging, shipment of infusion medications, and maintain compounding logs and quality assurance documentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels, support ordering activities, and oversee expiration date monitoring and product rotation.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and healthcare providers to ensure smooth medication order processing and prescription fulfillment.
  • Comply with State Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA and OSHA standards, and participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing training.
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license required.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of sterile compounding experience in home infusion, hospital, or oncology settings.
  • Strong knowledge of sterile compounding principles, USP standards, and aseptic technique.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining precise documentation and prioritizing workload effectively.
